A noteworthy beginning of the year
This beginning of the year is certainly noteworthy, with many projects that deserve to be told.
Many projects but one common thread: sustainability!
First of all, participation in the sustainable fashion documentary “Intrecci Etici” made by Luma Video and available on Infinity TV, as the only company in the leather sector.
This project aims to inform, educate and raise awareness of those who do not yet know the slow fashion movement, but also those who simply would like to make more sustainable choices, but do not know where to start.
It was an opportunity to explain how producing on demand without having ready-made articles really helps to limit waste as much as possible, allowing you not to generate unsold goods.
La Conceria and the Genuine Vegetable Leather Consortium, which we thank once again, also spoke about our participation in the documentary.
We are happy to have been able to promote the sustainability of vegetable tanned leather, the pride of our territory.
The relationship between Leather and Sustainability is at the center of the interview made to us by the Consortium at the beginning of March, which we gladly invite you to read: magazine.pellealvegetale.it/mario-doni-artigiano/
The documentary is available on the Infinity TV platform: https://www.intreccietici.it/documentario
Our Collaborations
“Tannins.org” initiative of CAPPEQ, an international association that brings together some of the main producers of tannins. We thank Silva Team and Breva Digital Communication for the information given on tannins, which play a very important role in items made of genuine leather and vegetable leather. We believe it is right that consumers can get to know the products in order to make increasingly aware purchases.
“Genuine Way” an Italian start-up that aims to help SMEs to certify their products for conscious consumption.
In fact, we have always produced to order, made to order, to create items that are as personalized as possible and avoid warehouse waste. Now we have decided to guarantee even more transparency to our customers by providing our sandals with a QR Code. By scanning it it will be possible to see what is behind Mario Doni artisanal products, from the purchase of the raw material to the processing stages, up to the packaging.
“Tree Nation” the platform that allows companies to plant a tree for each order received. Because environmental sustainability is not only in the use of leather and vegetable tanned leather, materials currently on the market with the lowest polluting impact, but also in expanding it to new projects. For each order received we will plant a tree, a gift for our customers.
“Ma Per Te” the women’s magazine that speaks to mothers, who chose to want to talk about our sandals for children, rediscovering the importance of using natural materials in footwear for the little ones.
