We are the choises we make – Sustainable Fashion
We are the choises we make
The choices we make as consumers also have a decisive influence on the world we live in, so it’s not too much of an exaggeration to say that we can change the world simply by choosing what to wear.
We can choose to make conscious purchases by buying from brands that are committed to respecting the environment, which they use for their low-polluting products but it is not enough.
It is not enough because in reality sustainability lies above all in our habits.
How long do our garments last? A season and then we throw them away when “they are no longer in fashion” or until they are worn out?
This is the focal point: sustainable fashion is a fashion that lasts. Being aware consumers means buying durable garments avoiding unnecessary waste.
The fashion industry has a huge impact on the environment. In fact, every year about 85% of all world textile production ends up in landfills.
Choosing quality garments made to last over time means making truly sustainable purchases.

The garments in question have a higher price than those of the Fast Fashion sector but for obvious reasons. How can a sustainable garment have a price that would not pay off even one hour of labor?

BUT COMPANIES ALSO HAVE TO DO THEIR PART.
Precisely for this reason, a commitment is needed not only on the part of consumers but also of companies in communicating in a transparent way sufficient information not only on the materials used, but also on the supply chain and processing phases.
To become aware consumers we need to know what we are buying, especially when the purchase is made online. Additional information would make the shopping experience safer and more satisfying, making up for not being able to touch the product with your hand.
We at Mario Doni have always chosen not to discount our products because for us they do not have a price but a value that should not be devalued.
