Not just a fashion: Barefooting

A few years ago, following a customer’s request, we created a man sandal-prototype with special features regarding the sole. The request was a shaped sole, which would allow the contact between the feet and the ground.
After the first prototype, there were other handmade sandals models, always made by design and specific request of customers Mario Doni.
Today there are a lot of models, so we decided to dedicate to barefoot sandals one own section on the website and we called it “Barefoot“.

The term Barefooting or Gimnopodism means the choice of not wear shoes to walk or run barefoot to retrieve a relationship with nature.

For these reasons, it isn’t only a physical activity, but a real lifestyle, which is becoming more and more common in recently.
In addition to the physical advantages that walking bare involves, there is the idea of ​​freedom and the break of patterns. A real fascinating and curious return to the origins.
The purpose is to bring participants back to the primitive bond with nature, which civilization is wiping out.
Even if there are a lot of benefits, there are also some disadvantages. People who practice this activity always move with a first-aid kit to solve the disadvantages that walking bare.
There are also places where barefoot is not allowed.
For this reason, there are appropriate footwear and footwear allowed by barefoot walkers, given to barefoot communities, which don’t cover all entire foot, but only part of this.

Like traditional sandals, also Barefoot sandals are made by genuine leather, according to the Tuscan craft tradition, and they are customizable sandals in a wide variety of colors.
