Allergies are becoming increasingly significant in our daily lives, as more and more factors cause discomfort, annoyance, and limitations that affect us all.

Among these, Allergic Contact Dermatitis (A.C.D.) is becoming more widespread. This condition is particularly common in summer, when people usually don’t wear socks, and many are forced to choose between having ulcerated feet or continuing to avoid wearing sandals.

To reduce this kind of discomfort, we have always crafted our sandals with uppers and insoles made using vegetable-tanned leather, an ancient tanning method that avoids chemical agents and relies on natural substances such as chestnut powder.

Today, we have taken our commitment even further by enhancing our protection against A.C.D., offering the option to line the sandal uppers with Certified Anti-A.C.D. Leather.

The sandals can be lined in such a way as to eliminate contact with the inner side of the leather – which is almost always the trigger for A.C.D. – making it possible to wear sandals comfortably without the need for socks.
