It’d have been easier to create new models for our leather sandals, but the desire to face a new challenge was stronger.
How to combine a longer life of the sandal with a greater comfort in wearing it without losing, but rather looking for and enhancing our tradition even more?
This is the origin of the Antica Toscana line, a return to the tradition of handcrafted sandal.
Above all, the concept of durability, linked to that of an increasingly sustainable fashion, is the soul of this new project, which once again starts from the materials of our territory and its values to give life to a line of absolutely authentic sandals.
The leather we have chosen to use for the upper has a more lived-in appearance, the characteristics of the leather, the colors, although the same as our production, have a warmer tone, more ancient in fact.
It has been made decidedly softer, therefore it tends to adapt perfectly to the foot, for that comfort we wanted to achieve.
The leather for the sole instead is higher than our usual sandals, at the sight it has a more solid and aggressive look accentuated by the natural edges and deliberately left rough. To make it more comfortable, they are made of flexible leather, a material already present in other proposals, which, being more greased in color, takes on the best of itself.
With the Antica Toscana line, the combination of craftsmanship and made in Tuscany materials that has always distinguished us is enhanced, but this time we wanted to give it a modern and innovative interpretation. We weren’t afraid to take risks and push ourselves further …
We want to evoke the sandals of our Tuscan history and tradition, giving them back the flavor of experience, of distant stories that must not be forgotten.
