Usually with a <\/span><b>wooden heel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a <\/span><b>leather upper<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and decorated with little studs, clogs were worn by women and men and were matched with velvet trousers or jeans, always bell-bottoms. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However the history of clogs is more ancient and date back to roman age when people were used to wear a footwear with a wooden sole and leather belts. Over time this kind of footwear changed and assumed different facets depending on historical periods and geographic areas. For example in Japan Geta were raised sandals, halfway between clogs and thongs; in Netherlands instead clogs were obtained from a whole piece of wood and they were worn by farmers to work due to its strength. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clogs anyway spread everywhere in particular among workers, factory workers or miners, and they became the more common footwear during Industrial Revolution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over time design and materials of clogs has improved and they became comfortable and beautiful footwear. Clogs came back in fashion for small period but in 2010 they came back to catwalk of runway shows when stylist Karl Lagerfeld propose them in Chanel Spring\/Summer collection. After Lagerfeld Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Gucci and Saint Laurent presented clogs in their collections. Indeed, in the last few years clogs were worn by famous people, artists and hipsters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How to match clogs?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clogs are perfect if worn with long flowered dresses, jeans or bell-bottom trousers, palazzo pants and pleated skirts.
