For our wooden clogs we use vegetable tanned leather.
This type of tanning allows for the creation of a product of the highest quality while respecting the environment.
Vegetable-tanned leather technique date back to the Ancient Tuscan craftsmanship and this process is based on the use of tannin.
Tannin is a molecule that we can find in different plants.
For the vegetable-tanned leather the most used are chestnut, mimosa and quebracho), which allows a lower environmental impact tanning and the realization of leather of unique appearance.
This leather ages, but it does not wreck, in fact during time it gains different shades which enhance the products a unique and personal aspect.
